Jacob T. Gray, CEO
Mr. Gray has 19
years professional experience in mergers and
acquisitions, turnaround management,
corporate finance and accounting, operations, and general
management, and more than twelve years in direct private
equity investments. He is currently actively managing
three of Balance Ventures' portfolio companies-a retail
apparel company, a metal fabrication business, and an
architectural millwork and cabinetry company. His background includes previous
positions with Ernst & Young and its advisory services
division, Price Waterhouse as a manager in its Latin
American Capital Markets Group, and Clear Channel Communications
as its Vice President and Controller.
Mr. Gray founded GRAY MATTER Business & Capital
Management (Balance Ventures' predecessor firm) in 1997
to provide financial and management consulting services
to businesses and due diligence and direct private equity
investment services to individual investors.
Mr. Gray earned a Master of Business Administration
from the McCombs School of Business at the University of
Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science from Trinity University
where he is an adjunct faculty, co- teaching the
Entrepreneurship and Venture Planning course during the
Spring semester.

James C. Worth, Advisory Board
Mr. Worth has 31 years professional
experience in public and private finance, mergers and
acquisitions, corporate finance, accounting and taxation,
and general management. His background includes previous
positions with Haskins & Sells/Deloitte & Touche,
Holland Mortgage & Investment Corp., and Belton
Kleberg Johnson Interests.
Mr. Worth founded The James Worth Company in 1989 to
provide financial and management consulting services
to businesses and direct private equity investment services
to individual investors. He serves two San Antonio families
with exclusive buy-side representation and manages more
than $40 million of direct private equity investments
on their behalf.
Mr. Worth earned a Bachelor of Business Administration
and a Master of Taxation from the University of Texas
at Austin.
